Viscosity, Poiseuille's law, and turbulence

Real fluids are sticky: syrup pours slowly, and water needs a push to flow along a pipe. Viscosity measures that stickiness, Poiseuille's law shows how strongly a tube's width controls flow, and the Reynolds number predicts when smooth flow breaks into turbulence.
