Induced emf, Faraday's law, and Lenz's law

Currents make magnetic fields, and in 1831 Michael Faraday showed the reverse: a changing magnetic field can drive a current. That discovery, with Lenz's rule for its direction, is the working principle behind every generator, transformer and wireless charger.
