Thevenin and Norton (ac)

Seen from two terminals, any linear ac network, however tangled, behaves like one source and one impedance. Thevenin's and Norton's theorems find that pair, so a load can be changed and re-solved in a single line, and they are how engineers describe the output of every amplifier and signal source.
