Hydrogen and carbonates
Hydrogen is the simplest element and the most abundant in the universe, and industry makes tens of millions of tonnes of it a year. Carbonates are just as familiar: limestone, chalk, seashells, baking soda and antacids, and the chemistry that is slowly changing the oceans.
